The Bell Moving Planner is a web application that helps users organize their move from one location to the other. Users signup using Facebook or their email, tell us a little about their situation (where they’re moving, whether or not they have a dolly or any pets and that kind of thing) and the moving planner algorithm will determine an estimated time of how long your move will take, indicated by the ‘effort calculator.’
The application provides the user with a basic checklist of things to consider before and during your move and as the user checks things off, the amount of time required decreases showing the user what they have accomplished and how much more is left to do.
Using a Google map the organizer has the option to search nearby services such as laundromats, restaurants, movie theatres, or anything else they can think of.
The application also allows you to invite your friends to be part of your moving crew via Facebook or email and gives them the option to visit your move page to see the details regarding where it is your are going and what needs to be done.
The Google map also provides directions, outlines the travel route and gives the organizer the option to toggle traffic conditions.
